Billionaire owner of OnlyFans dies at 43 after 'long battle with cancer'
He passed away at 43.
The owner of OnlyFans, a site known for its adult content and subscription model, has died at 43.
Leonid Radvinsky was born in Ukraine and grew up in Chicago.
He bought OnlyFans' parent company, Fenix International, in 2018 from its UK-based founders.
The site gained massive popularity during Covid-19 after many sought to earn money from home, Forbes reported.
According to Reuters, OnlyFans turned from a platform that once avoided explicit content to the adult-centric platform it is known for today.
This also led to the site garnering over 300 million users and over US$1 billion (S$1.2 billion) in annual revenue.
Radvinsky had a valuation of US$4.7 billion (S$5.9 billion), according to Forbes.
An OnlyFans spokesperson said Leo passed away peacefully after a "long battle with cancer".
Reuters had earlier reported the site was exploring a sale valuing the company at about US$5.5 billion (S$7 billion).
