3 people, aged 16 to 33, arrested after allegedly setting off fireworks in Ghim Moh
Investigations are ongoing.
Three people, aged between 16 and 33, were arrested after they allegedly set off unauthorised fireworks in Ghim Moh on Mar. 20.
In a press release on Mar. 23, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed that officers were alerted to the incident, which occurred at a multi-storey car park at Block 16A Ghim Moh Road at around 11:15pm.
Arrested after residents reported loud explosions
Police said that officers from Clementi Police Division identified the trio after conducting extensive ground enquiries.
Two men, aged 25 and 33, along with a 16-year-old male teenager, were arrested between Mar. 22 and 23.
Early investigations revealed that they had set off multiple fireworks in the area, causing loud explosions that alarmed residents in the area.
If found guilty of unauthorised use of explosives, they may be jailed for up to 36 months and fined up to S$50,000.
