Gojek Singapore has appointed Janine Teo as its new general manager, succeeding Lien Choong Luen, who stepped down in February 2026 after seven years at the helm.
A Gojek spokesperson told Mothership that Teo had worked for the company in several operational leadership roles for more than seven years.
Gojek said: "We are confident that she can take the business forward and continue strengthening Gojek’s platform to support driver-partners and their livelihoods, while delivering reliable services for consumers in Singapore."

Teo's background
According to Teo's LinkedIn profile, she got her start in the ride-hailing sector under Uber in August 2016 as an operations associate.
In June 2017, she was promoted to operations manager and was the driver experience country lead.
In June 2018, she transitioned to GoTo, the parent company of Gojek.
She worked her way up from her position as a launcher who scaled Gojek in Singapore from "0 to 30 million transactions in 12 months".
She was then promoted to head of driver lifecycle, head of supply and now general manager.
Lien to go on sabbatical
Lien told The Straits Times that the greatest challenge Gojek had faced was the Covid-19 pandemic, as the company was weathering low demand while supporting its drivers.
He said he oversaw Gojek as it underwent an "intense" period amid the maturing ride-hailing industry's increased competition and regulations.
Lien said he will be taking a sabbatical and will focus on his board positions, which include his role as president of Singapore Athletics.
A Gojek spokesperson told Mothership that they wished Lien the very best for the future and thanked him for his contributions: "After seven years leading Gojek Singapore, with the business in a strong position, this was a good juncture for Mr Lien to transition out of the role as he pursues his personal interests."
