S'porean teacher, 53, allegedly committed voyeurism on 6 female colleagues, possessed 174 obscene videos on phone

A man, who was a teacher at a local school, allegedly committed voyeurism on six of his female colleagues at their workplace using his mobile phone, reported The Straits Times (ST).
The man allegedly committed the offences between 2021 and 2023.
On Mar. 10, the 53-year-old man was handed 11 charges, including nine counts of voyeurism.
Due to a gag order on the women's identities, the man's identity and details about the school cannot be disclosed.
Allegedly had 174 obscene video files in his possession
According to charge sheets seen Mothership, the man had purportedly used a mobile phone to observe some of the women's buttocks and breasts without their consent.
He also allegedly used the device to record the "buttocks area" of two of the women.
The man also allegedly possessed images of the buttocks of three unknown women.
He was also allegedly found with 174 obscene video files on his mobile device sometime before December 2023.
Court documents did not state how his alleged offences came to light, ST noted.
Penalties
The man is currently out on bail of S$10,000, and his case will be mentioned again in court on Apr. 7, 2026.
Voyeurism under Section 377BB of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to two years, or a fine, or caning, or with any combination of such punishment.
If found guilty of possessing an image or recording of a person through voyeurism under Section 377BD of the Penal Code, the accused is subject to a maximum jail term of two years, a fine or both.
If found guilty of possessing obscene films, the accused faces a maximum fine of S$20,000 or a jail term not exceeding six months or both.
