Wedding
This comes after the whole family had travelled to Kuala Lumpur to attend a cousin's wedding, his son-in-law said.
Speaking to Mothership, his son-in-law said the event went smoothly and the elderly man only went missing around the night of Feb. 7 to the wee hours of Feb. 8.
He was last seen wearing a batik shirt near Anggun Residence in Kuala Lumpur:

Missing
"We saw that actually he went out of the residence," his son-in-law said, adding that his mother-in-law knocked on their door to inform him that his father-in-law had left.
However, the family was unable to locate the elderly man despite searching around the area.
They later lodged a police report in Malaysia on Feb. 8 to report the elderly man missing after he did not return to the residence that morning.
Signs of dementia
Prior to this, the elderly man had previously been showing "tell-tale" signs for about a year and was officially diagnosed with dementia around a couple of months ago, according to his son-in-law.
He added that the elderly man would experience symptoms such as intermittent hallucinations, having "imaginary friends" and would "try to go out of the house".
Appealing for information
Following this, the family also notified the authorities.
The authorities have since checked hospitals to verify if the elderly man was warded, but have reportedly not found such records as of Feb. 9, according to his son-in-law.
Anyone who has information regarding the elderly man's whereabouts is urged to call Wan at +65 9487 7672.
