Bus accident near Sengkang Community Hub: 13 people, including bus driver, 68, sent to hospital

A 68-year-old male bus driver and more than 10 passengers have been sent to hospital after two buses including Bus 104 got into an accident at the bus stop outside Sengkang Community Hub on Feb. 9, 2026.

According to Go-Ahead Singapore's Facebook post, the accident occurred at around 11:15am along Sengkang East Road.

Images on Singapore Road Accident's Facebook post showed a stationary green bus in front of a bus stop with three other buses queuing up behind it towards the bus stop.

Many cracks were visible on its windscreen and its front bumper was badly damaged, with parts of it falling off.

Police tape could also be seen at the sheltered walkway leading to the bus stop.

Investigation

Following the accident, Go-Ahead Singapore said in its Facebook post that emergency services were promptly activated, and the injured passengers have been conveyed to hospital and are receiving medical attention.

"The safety and well-being of those involved are our top priority," said Go-Ahead Singapore.

It also urged passengers who were on board the bus and require assistance to contact the company at 6812 6469 or [email protected].

Go-Ahead Singapore added: "Investigations are ongoing and we are cooperating with all relevant authorities."

Hospital

Responding to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed being alerted at about 11:15am on Feb. 9 to a road traffic accident along Sengkang East Road.

SCDF conveyed 12 people to Sengkang General Hospital, and one person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

In response to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed being alerted to the same accident involving two buses along Sengkang East Road towards Buangkok Green.

A 68-year-old male bus driver and passengers aged between 24 and 81 were conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
