Taiwanese singer Ricky Hsiao Huang-Chi has announced that he has tied the knot with his non-celebrity girlfriend.
On Jan. 8, the 50-year-old, who was born blind, took to Instagram and Facebook to share a photo of him and his wife wearing wedding rings.
He quipped in his caption: "I'm not joking around today, I got married. Please give us your blessings."

Citing reports, Vogue Taiwan reported that Hsiao had met his girlfriend through mutual friends, and the couple had been dating for over a year.
When asked why they chose that particular date to register their marriage, Hsiao joked: "I just happened to have no work scheduled today, and the date isn't a bad one, so I decided on it."
Following the announcement, many fans and celebrities, including Amber An and Ailing Tai, took to social media to congratulate the newlyweds.
His wife is a pet trainer
According to Taiwanese media outlet ETtoday, Hsiao's wife was revealed to be a professional pet trainer.
She reportedly holds certification from the Asian Animal Behaviour Resources Association (ABRA) and frequently shares pet training tips, as well as photos of cats and dogs, on her blog.

Hsiao's wife is also described as gentle and patient, and her soft-spoken voice is said to match the ideal type Hsiao mentioned in past interviews.
Though Hsiao did not feature his wife in his wedding announcement, eagle-eyed netizens believe she was spotted sitting with him and his manager at a Mayday concert at the Taipei Arena in 2025.
