A total of 67 non-compliant devices were impounded in December 2025 at various locations in Singapore, such as Pasir Ris, Punggol, Sengkang, and Sembawang, the Land Transport Authority said in a Facebook post on Jan. 9.
This was after 150 active mobility offences were detected.
The devices featured in the photos by LTA were a personal mobility device (PMD) and power-assisted bicycles (PABs), which are electric bikes (e-bikes), many of which were equipped with food thermal bags.
Some of the devices did not have registration plates.
LTA added that its officers seized around 900 non-compliant devices in 2025.
First-time offenders caught using improper or obscured PAB number plates may face fines up to S$1,000 and/ or three months’ jail.
Those using non-compliant devices on paths face up to S$10,000 fine and/ or six months’ jail.
