Motorcyclist crashes into car in JB while riding against traffic, sent to hospital for treatment

An accident in Malaysia saw a motorcyclist who was hit by a car proceed to lie on the car's bonnet.

The Star reported that according to the authorities, the accident occurred around 10:30pm on Jan. 6, 2026, along Jalan Masai Lama, Pasir Gudang in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.

A Jan. 8, 2026, statement noted that the 29-year-old motorcyclist, who is not from Malaysia, collided head-on with a hatchback vehicle, driven by a 22-year-old man.

According to a video posted in the Telegram channel "sgSecret", the car's dashcam footage showed that the car was driving along a one-way road.

The motorcyclist was then seen approaching from the opposite direction, riding towards the car.

Upon colliding with the car, the impact caused the motorcyclist to be flung onto the car's bonnet.

The motorcyclist then assumed a "sleeping position" where he lay on top of the bonnet on his side, in the direction of the car's dashcam.

Following the accident, the motorcyclist sustained injuries and was conveyed to Hospital Sultan Ismail for treatment, The Star reported, adding that the car driver was unharmed.
