Private jet from S'pore with 5 passengers skids off runway at Hokkaido airport
No injuries reported.
A private jet from Singapore skidded off the runway at New Chitose Airport in Hokkaido, Japan on Friday evening, Dec. 12 at about 6:40pm.
Five passengers on board, including a small child, were accompanied by three flight attendants.
Firefighters rushed to the scene even though there was no fire, and no injuries were reported, according to NHK and Kyodo News
The plane took off from Seletar Airport in Singapore on Dec. 11 and landed at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya, Indonesia, according to FlightAware data.
The plane took off on Dec. 12 and skidded when it landed at New Chitose Airport.
The aircraft appeared to have overshot the runway.
It then stopped on snow-covered ground, HBC News reported, adding that it was snowing at the time.
The incident is being investigated.
