Father, 48, charged with molesting son, 9, while he was asleep in bedroom

A man in Singapore allegedly rubbed his hand on his nine-year-old son's private area while he was asleep in the master bedroom.

The 48-year-old man was charged on Dec. 15 for outrage of modesty.

He cannot be named due to a gag order to protect the identity of the child.

His case will be heard again on Dec. 29, 2025.

Charge sheets seen by Mothership did not disclose how his acts came to light.

For molesting a child below 14 years old, an offender can be punished with imprisonment up to five years, or fined, caned, or with any combination of such punishments.
