A BMW driver and a Ford Mustang driver had their cars seized in Shah Alam, Malaysia, for not having valid road tax and motor vehicle licenses.

The Facebook post by the Road Transport Department (JPJ) showed the two cars being confiscated.

The driver of the Ford Mustang is a Malaysian man in his early 30s, while the BMW X5 driver is in his 40s.

Both said they could not renew the valid licenses due to financial issues.

The driver of the Ford Mustang also couldn't renew his vehicle license due to outstanding traffic fines and has since been blacklisted.

Their cars were seized and taken away for further action.

Further reporting by Sinar Harian quoted Selangor JPJ director Azrin Borhan as saying they will not compromise with any party, including luxury vehicle owners who disobey road laws.

He also said a luxury vehicle does not exempt someone from the law.
