S'pore Covid-19 wave subsiding, estimated weekly cases drop from 26,400 to 15,300: Ong Ye Kung
ICU cases remain consistently low throughout the wave.
Singapore's Covid-19 wave is subsiding, said Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung.
In a Facebook post on Jun 14, Ong shared that Singapore was facing a Covid-19 wave that started in late April 2025.
It saw an estimated weekly infections reaching about 26,400 cases, with daily hospitalisations reaching about 174 cases.
Throughout the wave, Ong stated that the Intensive Care Units cases remained consistently low, with about two to three cases daily.
According to the latest data, the estimated weekly infections have dropped to 15,300 cases, and the hospitalisation numbers have decreased to about 118 cases daily.
Ong added that the wastewater surveillance readings have also dropped.
"This experience reminds us that Covid-19 waves, like seasonal influenza, can still put pressure on our healthcare system. While we have become more resilient in managing these surges, we must continue to fortify our defences and prepare for future waves or any new pandemics."
