Stefanie Sun performs in Beijing's 'Bird's Nest' national stadium to 50,000 people
Milestone.
Singaporean singer-songwriter Stefanie Sun held her first concert at the Beijing National Stadium on Jun. 13.
Performing at the venue, also known as the "Bird's Nest", to an audience of over 50,000, the Mandopop singer sported pink-hued hair and sang "银泰" ("Yintai"), a crowd favourite in Beijing.
More than 2 million people reportedly tried to get their hands on the concert tickets.
Sun is the fourth Chinese female singer to perform at the Bird's Nest in the venue's history, reported 8world.
The Beijing stop has become the show with the largest number of people in attendance.
As part of her 25th anniversary tour, Sun will perform a second show in Beijing on Jun. 15, before heading off to other stops in Qingdao, Chongqing, and Nanjing.
She kicked off the tour earlier this year in Singapore.
It is her first concert tour in 10 years.
