Singapore Democratic Alliance (SDA) chairman Desmond Lim has thanked the voters of Pasir Ris-Changi GRC for his team's performance in GE2025.

The team of Lim, Harminder Pal Singh, Abu Mohamed and Chia Yun Kai, leader of the one-man "Most Valuable Party" recorded a vote share of 32.34 per cent on Polling Night.

This was better than SDA's performance of 23.67 per cent in the old Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC in GE2020, albeit in a multi-corner fight with PAP and People's Voice.

In a statement to the media in the early hours of May 4, Lim said:

"This is the highest level of support we've experienced since 2006, and it fills me with encouragement and hope to keep working for our community.

As I reflect on my political future, I'm reminded of the many contributions and achievements still ahead of us.

The Singapore Democratic Alliance is dedicated to deepening our community engagement, enhancing our policies and social media presence, and fostering strong coalitions to tackle the issues that truly matter to our constituents.

While we didn’t achieve victory in this general election, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to every supporter and voter who stands with the Singapore Democratic Alliance.

Even though the 2025 general election has come to a close, our commitment and mission continue. We will regroup, renew our efforts, and persist in our fight. Together, we strive for a fairer, more just, and inclusive Singapore - Pasir Ris-Changi, embodying a vision for a vibrant and dynamic city-state."

Lim was also seen fist-pumping in happiness after the results for Pasir Ris-Changi were announced.

The SDA has competed in Pasir Ris in every GE since 2006.

In a video released on May 4, Lim read out a message in Chinese, saying they were grateful for every voter, and they will continue to work hard to serve them.
