A 55-year-old man, surnamed Law, had been complaining of chest and stomach pain for three days after a trip to China.

His condition worsened on Apr. 30, 2025, the same day he took a flight to Kuching, Sarawak alone.

When he landed at the airport, and exited the arrival hall, the man suddenly collapsed.

A woman behind him immediately started cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him for 30 minutes.

An AED at the airport was also used, and the man was eventually transferred to Sarawak General Hospital.

Doctors there suspected that he had suffered a near-fatal cardiac event.

This story was posted by Malaysian cardiologist, Tang Sie Hing, who was personally requested by Law's family and friends to manage his condition.

Tang posted the incident on behalf of Law's family and friends who wished to thank the woman for her "timely effort", with Tang saying without her actions, "the outcome would be totally unimaginable".

The doctor had escorted the patient to Timberland Medical Centre, where they found that two blood vessels were "100 per cent blocked", an "ad hoc coronary angioplasty" was done and Law's condition was stabilised.

The man eventually "regained full consciousness and has suffered no neurological deficit".
