British man, 32, allegedly steals S$2,900 of items from Changi Airport including I Heart S'pore magnet, M&Ms

A British man, 32, was arrested on suspicion of a series of shop thefts at the transit area of Changi Airport.
He allegedly stole S$2,900 worth of items including perfumes, cosmetics, wine, confectionery, and a wallet.
The stolen items also included what appeared to be a pack of peanut M&Ms, a Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil from Benefit, and an I Heart Singapore fridge magnet.

The man was arrested on Apr. 15 after a staff member at Shilla Perfume and Cosmetic noticed a bottle of perfume missing, according to a May 5 Singapore Police Force (SPF) statement.
The staff member checked the CCTV footage and the police later arrested the man.
He will be charged on May 7 with eight counts of theft.
In its statement, SPF said that it takes a "serious view of shop theft cases".
"Offenders will be dealt with firmly in accordance to the law," it added.
For the offence of theft, he could be jailed up to seven years, fined, or both.
