Chinese national, 36, charged over alleged chopper attack at People's Park Complex

Two men aged 41 and 30 were conveyed conscious to the hospital.

A 36-year-old woman was charged with voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon on Mar. 21 after she allegedly carried out a chopper attack at a cooked food stall outside People's Park Complex on Mar. 19 night.

The court also ordered the accused, He Longfeng, a Chinese national, to be placed in remand at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), reported CNA.

She will return to the court on Apr. 4 for her next hearing.

What happened

The Singapore Police Force (SPF) told Mothership they received a call for assistance regarding the alleged attack at around 8:45pm on Mar. 19.

Two men, aged 41 and 30, were conveyed conscious to the hospital.

Another man, 42, was assessed by Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) for minor injuries but refused conveyance to the hospital.

Police also seized the chopper allegedly used by the accused as a case exhibit.

According to CNA, court documents stated that the chopper has a 17cm-long blade and 12cm-long handle.

Blood spotted at scene

When 8world News reporters arrived at the scene of the incident on Mar. 19, there were blood stains on the floor, with some being wiped or covered by paper towels.

A fight also appeared to have broken out at the scene, as plastic bags, plastic food containers, and cardboard boxes were seen scattered on the floor.

8world reported that it understands the alleged assailant and the injured individuals did not know each other, and the motivation behind the alleged attack remained unknown at the moment.
