Giant pipe falls off trailer at Balestier & blocks traffic, driver, 31, assisting with investigations
No injuries were reported.

A large pipe fell off a trailer at a junction in Balestier on the morning of Mar. 21, blocking two lanes of traffic.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that at about 9am, they were alerted to the incident at the junction of Balestier Road and Kim Keat Road.
The trailer was believed to have self-skidded, police said.
No injuries were reported.
The aftermath
Footage of the aftermath was shared to Facebook the same day.

It appeared that the trailer stopped while turning in the middle of a yellow box at the junction.
It ended up blocking two out of three lanes on the congested road.
Part of a giant red-and-black pipe had fallen onto the roadside pavement.

The pipe had the word "ASIA" printed in capital letters.

Police told Mothership that a 31-year-old male trailer driver is assisting with investigations.
SCDF said that its assistance was not required.
Police investigations are ongoing.
