Mediacorp DJ, 43, charged in court after allegedly sexting minor & illicitly filming women
He will return to court on Apr. 21.

A Mediacorp DJ and actor was charged on Mar. 21 for illicitly filming women's private parts and sexting a minor under 16.
Gunalan Morgan, 43, is a producer-presenter with Tamil-language radio station Oli968, reported CNA.
The names of his three alleged victims cannot be revealed due to a gag order.
In response to Mothership's queries, a Mediacorp spokesperson said that the DJ was "immediately suspended from work upon [their] knowledge of his arrest".
A termination notice has also been served to him.
Crimes
The court heard that Gunalan used his phone to film a woman's genitals, breast, or underwear without her consent on Aug. 28, 2024.
He did this on four separate occasions that day.
He was alleged to have illicitly filmed another woman's genitals or underwear on Oct. 8, 2024 as well.
Gunalan also allegedly sexted a minor under 16 between Aug. 25, 2024 and Aug. 31, 2024.
After being told that a police report had been filed against him, he allegedly deleted his Instagram conversations with the victim on Sep. 16, 2024.
This constitutes a charge of obstructing the course of justice.
Gunalan did not indicate how he would plead, but told the court he would be engaging a lawyer, CNA reported.
Penalties
For sexual communication with a minor, he could be jailed for up to two years, fined, or both.
For voyeurism, he could be jailed for up to two years, fined or caned, or any combination of the punishments.
For obstructing the course of justice, he could be jailed for up to seven years, fined, or both.
He will return to court on Apr. 21.
