Japanese fruit tart chain Fruit Paradise will no longer be halal-certified from Sep. 11, 2024.

In an Instagram post on Aug. 31, Fruit Paradise announced the update on its halal certification status and said that it remains committed to maintaining the quality of its products.

Apologised and thanked customers for their support

Fruit Paradise, which offers a wide selection of fruit tarts and other Japanese dishes, first became halal-certified on Jan. 20, 2023.

The chain currently has a total of two outlets in JEM and VivoCity.

While they did not provide a reason for the termination or non-renewal of the halal certification, the chain has apologised for any inconvenience caused, noting that some customers may be affected by the change.

Fruit Paradise also thanked customers for their support and assured them that the chain remains committed to maintaining a "continuous level of quality and care in our offerings".
