Professional wrestler Sean Tan, who wrestles under the ring name Dante Chen, has secured himself a victory on the World Wrestling Entertainment's (WWE) show WWE NXT.
Triumped over Drake Morreaux
The match took place at the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.
Tan faced Drake Morreaux, another up-and-coming star.
During the match, which was broadcast on Apr. 5, Morreaux initially used his bigger size to overpower Chen.
However, Tan was able to get the upper hand on Morreaux by flipping his opponent onto the ground.
Tan shared images of his victory on Facebook.
The week of April 7 and 8 (Singapore time) is when WrestleMania, the WWE's premier annual showcase event, will take place.
2024 sees the 40th edition of WrestleMania, featuring top stars competing like Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes and The Rock.
Debuted in 2021
Tan is the first Singaporean and Southeast Asian wrestler to sign with the WWE, following which, he relocated to Orlando, Florida.
Earlier in February 2024, Tan made history once more by being the first Singaporean to appear on the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) programme "Friday Night SmackDown".
He debuted on NXT 2.0 in September 2021 after defeating Trey Baxter in a short match.
