There was some serious ponding going on in the carpark of Sime Darby Centre after heavy rains showered Dunearn Road at around 6pm on Feb. 3.
In photos sent to Shin Min Daily News, a man can be seen wading through the ankle-deep water with his pants rolled up to his knees to get to his car.
Sime Darby Centre is located along Dunearn Road in Bukit Timah, next to King Albert Park MRT station.
More than 10 cars were parked in the parking lot at that time, according to Shin Min.
One person on X posted a picture of Bukit Timah Canal looking extra full.
One side of the road appeared to be covered with muddy water. Road markings could not be seen through the muddy water.
At 6:27pm on Feb. 3, national water agency PUB announced on X that the flash flood at Dunearn Road affected all three lanes.
PUB officers were deployed on scene for assistance.

A cleaner who worked at Sime Darby Centre told Shin Min that the heavy rain had begun at about 6pm.
The rain lasted for 15 minutes, but as the rain started to subside, the carpark started to flood.
However, he said it was not as serious in comparison to the flooding which occurred last July.
On Jul. 20, 2023, torrential rain caused several places to flood in Singapore, including Bukit Timah.
The Bukit Timah canal overflowed, and only one out of the three lanes was passable to traffic.
