A man in Malaysia bought nasi lemak bungkus for RM1 (S$0.29) and found a thin slice of egg inside.

It was so thin and translucent at some places that he put his budget meal on X, which tickled people to no end.

According to subsequent replies to queries on the social media platform, the man revealed that he bought the food for cheap.

Nasi lemak bungkus typically consists of coconut rice, chili, anchovies, and egg.

The amount of ingredients varies from merchant to merchant, but the meal is characterised by its affordability and on-the-go convenience.

Responses

Another said it was thinner than a SIM card.

One person approached it as a Rorschach test and saw SpongeBob.
