Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong is visiting Japan for the second time this month from May 23 to 27, to attend the Nikkei Forum on the Future of Asia, as well as meet Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Happy to be back
In a release by the Prime Minister's Office, as well as a Facebook post, Wong confirmed his trip and his agenda.
Wong added that he was happy to be returning to Japan.

It was also confirmed that he would be meeting several Japanese political and business leaders.
Most notably he will be meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
Both men are speaking on the first day of the 28th Nikkei Forum on the Future of Asia, themed “Leveraging Asia’s power to confront global challenges”.
Wong will be giving the first guest speech of the conference, while Kishida will be capping the first day's program.
Wong will also meet with Singaporeans based in Japan.
A month of travel
This will be Wong's second trip to Japan this month.
He was in Niigata for the G7 Finance Ministers' and Central Bank Governors' Meeting on May 12.
Singapore is not part of the G7 grouping, and was one of six guest countries invited by the host Japan, which included Indonesia, India, South Korea, the Comoros, and Brazil.
There he met with finance ministers of several participant states, including India's Nirmala Sitharaman, South Korea's Choo Kyung-Ho, as well as officials from various NGOs such as the World Bank and OECD.
