A 65-year-old man was found dead inside a vehicle on Apr. 12 afternoon at the car park at Block 233 Yishun Street 21.
The deceased, surnamed Chen (transliteration), is a nearby resident.
He lived with his elderly mother and was previously diagnosed with a hole in his heart, reported Shin Min Daily News.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by a Singapore Civil Defence Force paramedic, the Singapore Police Force told Mothership.
Based on preliminary investigations, the police do not suspect foul play.
Police investigations are ongoing.
Discovered by passer-by
According to the source that tipped Shin Min off, he alerted the police after noticing a man was sitting motionless inside a blue vehicle when he passed by the car park at around 6pm on Wednesday.
At the time, one of the doors of the vehicle was slightly opened, but the engine was not running.
"Soon after, the ambulance arrived, and paramedics examined the man inside the vehicle. Upon completion, they left the scene and handed the case over to the police," the 40-year-old recounted.
When Shin Min arrived at the scene at around 7pm on Wednesday, five to six parking lots around the vehicle were seen cordoned off by the police for investigation.
A filial son who lived with his mother
After learning about Chen's passing, his elderly mother visited the scene in a wheelchair, accompanied by her family, to see her son.

According to Chen's younger brother, the deceased was unmarried and had been living with his mother since 1985.
"He was very filial to our mother. Every day, he would buy food for her and prepare her milo before going to bed at night," he described.
On the day of the incident, Chen left home after he was done packing food for his mother.
At the time, everything appeared normal, his brother recounted.
While Chen was diagnosed with a hole in his heart when he was younger, he had been well and had not shown any similar symptoms recently.
"My brother was self-employed, and he went out [on Wednesday] to deliver parcels. He could have just wanted to rest in the car. No one would have thought he would pass away," his brother added.
