A video of an elderly man in Malaysia doing GrabFood delivery during this fasting month has gone viral, garnering sympathy from netizens.
In the TikTok video posted on Friday (Apr. 14), the hunchbacked old man can be seen picking up an item from a delivery pick-up point.
Only takes breaks to perform his prayers
The man recording the video asked: "Uncle, are you doing alright?"
The old man thanked him and explained that he was on the way to make a delivery nearby.
He said he had spent his day making several deliveries from various locations.
The man recording the video then asked: "Will you be breaking fast at home?"
The old man said that he will break his fast at a prayer hall which provides food and beverages.
"After breaking my fast, I will continue with work," he said.
He added that he wasn't planning on taking any off days this Ramadan, and that he will only take breaks during the day to perform his prayers.
He then slowly walked away to continue his delivery.
The TikTok video was accompanied by the caption:
"I pity this uncle. Yet at the same time, I'm jealous of his determination.
Despite his hunched back, he still travels around KL to earn a living this fasting month. May all his affairs be eased.
If you live at Mont Kiara and Sri Hartamas, you must have seen this legendary uncle around."
