A fire broke out at an HDB block in Yishun in the early hours of the morning on Mar. 22.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed that it was alerted to the fire at Block 672C Yishun Ave 4 on Mar. 22 at about 2:25am.
The fire involved the contents of a bedroom in a unit on the 13th floor, SCDF added.
The blaze was subsequently extinguished using a fire jet, and about 50 occupants were evacuated from the affected blocks by the police.
Three persons were assessed for minor injuries, and later refused conveyance to the hospital.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Owners of unit safe
In an Instagram post on Mar. 22, the owner of the unit, Luqman Afiq, shared pictures of the blackened interior of the unit in the aftermath.

He shared that the entire family, including himself, his wife, and his son, had managed to escape unscathed.
He wrote: "A day before Ramadan. [...] Please pray for the best for me and my family."
