A large tree fell across Tiong Bahru Road on Friday evening, March 3, crashing a sheltered walkway, a car and causing traffic to come to a standstill.
The incident happened at about 5.30pm, according to CNA.
SBS Transit said in a tweet at about 6pm that five bus stops in the area have to be skipped, with eight of its bus services diverted.
A queue of buses lined up all the way until Tiong Bahru Plaza, CNA reported.
A sheltered walkway in front of Block 24 Tiong Bahru Road was damaged.
A portion of it collapsed under the weight of the tree.
A car was also crushed.
This is a developing story.
