S’pore eyewear brand Monocle to mark 10,000th pair sold by giving away free sunglasses with every glasses purchase

Monocle is a local eyewear brand that was started in 2019.

Best known for their affordably priced, handcrafted eyewear, prices for a pair of glasses start from as low as S$105 (including in-house frame and lenses with a one-year warranty).

New services, colourways and promotions

On July 9, 2022, Monocle officially opened their first physical store on Keong Saik Road in Tanjong Pagar, offering more than 150 frame options to choose from.

To mark their 10,000th pair sold, the brand has come up with a series of newly launched services, colourways and promotions for customers.

Here’s what you can expect.

Same day service for select lenses

Monocle will be launching a same day service in April, where customers can pick up their new glasses on the spot (for select frames and lenses).

Customers will be able to have a quick and complimentary eye examination done to check their eye health beyond just their degree.

Additionally, those who make custom orders can opt to have the eyewear delivered directly to their homes.

Hot fresh colourways

Besides this, Monocle has also introduced a lineup of hot fresh colourways for acetate, metal and titanium.

Inspired by popular artists, writers, and musicians, some of these colourways include:

• Peach Fuzz
• Space Oddity
• Barn Burning

Their frames include:

• Hemingway
• Atwell
• Kafka
• Kazuo
• Takada

These flagship frames are cut from sheets of Italian acetate and are then beautifully engraved with their frame names, before being polished by hand.

Free sunglasses promotion

Monocle sunglasses usually start from S$125, with dashing, UV-protecting sun lenses in Grey, Brown, Green, Purple, Blue, and so on - paired with their frames.
