If you're travelling out of Singapore today, it may be a good idea to buffer more time.
At around noon on Mar. 31, the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) informed the public that they are experiencing "system slowness" at some clearance checkpoints.
ICA also advised travellers to postpone any non-essential trips.
Long queues
The slowness in system resulted in long queues at Woodlands and Tuas checkpoints since 11am.
Travellers at Changi Airport Terminal 3 were also affected.
According to a Mothership reader, the airport staff gave out bottled water and attempted to attend to people's queries.
The immigration clearances have to be done manually for now, as the automated immigration gates were down.
The reader shared that by 11am, there was already a queue.
