After a three year hiatus, the Singapore Cat Festival (SCF) will be returning for its third edition.
Organised by pet event organiser Furflr, the festival will take place on Mar. 25 and 26, at Great World.
What to expect
This year's SCF will feature several cat-centric activities, from workshops to cat breed showcases and adoption drives.
With over 50 local and international cat product brands to browse through, cat parents will have an easy time finding what they need.
Local artists and makers will also be selling cat-themed merchandise and accessories.
There will also be cat-themed art jamming and cat toy-making workshops for those who prefer hands-on activities.
Learning more about cats
Several cat-related services from making your home cat-friendly to teaching basic grooming will also be available to enrich the lives of feline friends.
Veterinarians from the Animal and Veterinary Service (AVS) will also host a "Chat with the Vet" session, where people can learn more about caring for a cat.
Adopt don't shop
Feline Fanciers Society of Singapore will be putting on a cat breed showcase and sharing session, where potential adopters can learn more about the different breeds of cats and find out which best suit them.
They can then head to the cat adoption drives by the Cat Welfare Society, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA), and Pure Adoptions to give a shelter furball a fur-ever home.
More details
Admission to the event is free.
While cat owners are allowed to bring their cats along, they are advised to keep them in carriers and on a cat harness or lead for added safety.
More information is available on the event's website and social media pages.
