Carpooling is usually defined as the sharing of car journeys.

However, someone has taken the word "carpooling" a little too literally.

In a video posted on TikTok, a white Honda Vezel has been spotted tipping into a condominium swimming pool, its bumper and half its licence plate submerged.

The incident happened at The Hillside condominium, which is located at 341 Upper Bukit Timah Road, on the night of Feb. 28.

Photos of the same incident have been posted to SG Road Vigilante's Facebook page.

Due to the incessant rain on Tuesday, Feb. 28, visibility on the road has been poor.

The caption in the Facebook post alleged that the driver of the vehicle was unable to see the road clearly due to the pouring rain despite having his headlights on high beam.

This caused the driver to veer off the indicated path, and nearly plunge head-first into the condominium's swimming pool.

A Mothership reader who stays at The Hillside said she heard loud revving "near or past midnight", but wasn't sure if the revving was related to the incident.

Another Mothership reader who visited the condominium recently saw that the driveway was situated a distance away from the swimming pool.

It is not known what path the vehicle took to reach the edge of the swimming pool.
