They say that a mother's love knows no bounds.
Amidst the rainy weather in Singapore recently, a Facebook group Singapore Wildlife Sightings member, Jeff Low, captured the essence of this quote through a series of photographs taken at Singapore Botanic Gardens on Mar. 2.
A mother's love
Speaking to Mothership, Low said that the photo was taken at the pavilion at ECO lake, where he was taking shelter from the rain.
He shared that he was actually on the way to Ginger Garden to take a picture of another bird -- the Orange-headed thrush.
Low then took notice of a mother hen upon turning around, who had sheltered around four chicks from the chilly weather with her wings.
Chicks typically hide under their mother hen's wings for safety.
Accompanied with the photos shared by Low was a caption that read:
"A beautiful sight indeed at ECO lake (Singapore Botanical Gardens) as the little ones took refuge from the rain under the wings of their mum."
If you take a closer look, you can also notice a drop of water on the mother hen's beak.
Here are more beautiful shots by Low:
In response to a comment, Low also mentioned that the rooster was just beside but not captured in his photos.
Reactions
The comment section was full of praise for Low's photography skills.
Some also asked if they could use it for teaching or illustration purposes:
Of course, who could miss this perfect pun.
