There's going to be a new hotel in town -- The Standard.

It's slated to open in the fourth quarter of 2023, and will be located along Orange Grove Road, which is near Orchard Road and opposite Shangri-La Singapore.

The chain, which was founded in West Hollywood in 1999, currently has hotels in New York City, Miami Beach, Ibiza, London, Maldives, Hua Hin and Bangkok.
It is known for hosting celebrities, cultural and gourmet events, as well as parties.
The opening bash for its Bangkok hotel was attended by celebs like Singapore's Fiona Xie and American DJ Diplo.
What to expect
The five-star hotel will have 143 rooms, a lobby bar, an infinity pool as well as a pool bar, according to interior and architectural firm Ministry of Design (MOD).

The rooms and suites seem to be designed according to where the property is located, so we're expect Garden City-inspired decor and furnishings.

According to MOD, the hotel rooms will be furnished with full-height glass facade walls.
The more luxurious suite rooms will feature corner glass and double-height living room areas.

Other properties feature cultural and art programmes, which are open to guests.

The Standard, Singapore will apparently be constructed in accordance with the country's Green Plan.
As of time of writing, the average price of a one-night stay (according to their other hotels) starts from S$320.
