The "Quiet Ride" option is newly available to Grab users in Singapore, for those not keen on holding a conversation with their drivers during their commute.

Drivers will be informed of passenger's preference for minimal conversation.
However, "essential conversations" such as confirming the passenger's name and trip details "still needs to happen", Grab said.
Drivers may also choose to play music or the radio, and answer phone calls.
How to book a "Quiet Ride"
After selecting the pick-up and drop-off points, users only have to tap the ○○○ icon for more options and select "Quiet Ride".
After booking the ride, the user will receive a chat message that looks something like this:
After opting in for a "Quiet Ride", it will be the default for future rides.
The feature is currently not available for GrabShare and GrabHitch, according to Grab's website.
Previously, the "Quiet Ride" option was trialled in Malaysia before the function was made available in Singapore.
