S'porean woman, 39, arrested & drugs worth an estimated S$268,000 seized at Dover Crescent

On Tuesday (Nov. 23) evening, Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) officers arrested a 39-year-old Singaporean woman for suspected drug activities.

According to a CNB press release, the woman was arrested in the vicinity of Dover Crescent, and one bundle and one packet containing around 479g of heroin and various drug paraphernalia were recovered from her.

In addition, a minute amount of "Ice" (methamphetamine) and five strips of "Subutex" (buprenorphine, an opioid) were seized from a residential unit in the vicinity.

A bundle containing about 546g of "Ice" and five bundles containing about 2.183kg of ketamine were seized from a vehicle parked nearby.

The estimated street value of the more than 3kg of drugs seized during the operation is S$268,000.

479g of heroin can feed the addiction of about 230 abusers for a week, while 546g of "Ice" could feed the addiction of about 310 abusers for a week, CNB said.

CNB’s investigations into the suspected drug offences are ongoing.
