Free N95 & surgical masks distribution by Temasek Foundation has ended: Ho Ching

However, TF has clarified that the distribution has officially closed. The article has been updated with the clarification from TF and Ho Ching's amended Facebook post.]

The distribution of face masks by Temasek Foundation officially ended on Sunday (Sep. 26).

Each household in Singapore can collect a box of 25 N95 masks and a box of 50 surgical masks at participating supermarkets and CapitaLand malls in the past month.

Those who face difficulty at collecting masks or receive faulty masks can contact Temasek Foundation

Temasek Foundation confirmed on Sep. 28 that the collection has ended.

However, those who face difficulty at collecting their face masks with their SP residential accounts, or need to exchange faulty masks, may email Temasek Foundation at staymasked@temasekfoundation.org.sg by Oct. 2, this Saturday.

The spokesperson added that these residents will need to show a printout or screenshot of the official email from Temasek Foundation, informing the information counter staff of their eligibility for exchange/collection of face masks.

According to Temasek Foundation, they will also need to collect their masks by this Sunday (Oct. 3) from any of the 13 CapitaLand malls:

3. Bukit Panjang Plaza

4. Funan

5. IMM

6. JCube

7. Jewel Changi Airport

8. Junction 8

9. Lot One

10. Raffles City Singapore

11. SingPost Center

12. Tampines Mall

13. Westgate

Prior to the clarification, Temasek's outgoing chief executive Ho Ching informed that the distribution will be extended by one week at 15 participating CapitaLand malls in a Facebook post on Sep. 27 (Monday).

Ho has amended her Facebook post on Sep. 28 afternoon.As of Sep. 26, over 1.1 million households have collected nearly 85 million masks, Ho said.

For hygiene reasons, returns or exchanges of the masks will not be allowed.

How to use the masks?

Ho recommends those who wish to head out and talk to others to put on a N95 mask or wear two layers of masks — with at least one medical grade surgical mask.

However, those who are heading out for a walk and not talk to anyone else can wear a medical grade surgical mask and keep a safe distance from others.
