At least two car drivers had a shocking experience while driving along the Seletar Expressway on Aug. 10.
This was after a spare tyre from another vehicle had apparently come loose along the expressway.
The first car, a white MPV, was apparently unable to stop or drive around it.
The car bounced but remained on course when it drove over the loose spare tyre.
However, the tyre was then sent flying into the air into the bonnet of the car behind, before it bounced up into the air once again.
The tyre appeared to have hit the bonnet but missed the windscreen.
Here's a slow-motion view of what happened:
It's not known whether the tyre hit any other vehicles travelling on the expressway.
Van stopped on road shoulder ahead
After the impact, the driver of the vehicle capturing the video footage slowed down and filtered toward the road shoulder.
The video then showed a white van with Daikin decals that had also stopped, some distance ahead.
A man was squatting down and looking under the van.
This led some to conclude that the spare tyre had likely fallen off the van.
"Bro. Look no further. Your spare tyre is way way behind," read the tongue-in-cheek caption on the video, which was uploaded by the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page.
While both of the affected cars appeared to have emerged relatively unscathed, commenters pointed out that the incident would have been very different, had there been a motorcyclist involved.
