Due to Phase 2 (HA) measures, this year’s National Day Parade (NDP) has been postponed to August 21.

However, this doesn’t mean that the Singapore spirit is any more lacking compared to previous years.

Besides physically attending the NDP, watching the parade on television with the entire family continues to be a yearly tradition in many Singaporean households.

If you’re thinking of where to order or takeaway food bundles to feast on while watching the NDP this year, here are six places you can consider.

1) Popeyes

At the start of August, Popeyes Singapore launched a new menu item - Truffle Fries, alongside their signature and best selling Popeyes Chicken Sandwich.

Comprising soft and fluffy brioche buns, freshly brined pickles, spicy Cajun sauce, and hand-breaded chicken fillet, what’s most surprising about this chicken sandwich is that its fillet is made using thigh meat instead of chicken breast to suit Singaporean taste buds.

On the other hand, the newly launched Truffles Fries are made by tossing Popeyes’ crispy and addictive Cajun fries with truffle seasoning.

Currently, the Popeyes Chicken Sandwich set meal with large Truffle Fries and a regular Pepsi is retailing at S$9.50, while the Truffle Fries are selling for just S$3.90 ala carte.

Here are other buddy and group meals you can also place an order for:

Chicken Sandwich Feast Meal for two pax (S$17.90) - Dine In/Takeaway only

2) White Restaurant

Most famously known for their Original Sembawang White Beehoon, White Restaurant is a homegrown brand that first began in 1999 from a small hawker stall in Chong Pang Market.

This National Day, they have come up with two Uniquely Singapore Sets that consist of dishes inspired by the different ethnicities which make up our country.
