McDonald's Singapore and Singaporean actor Ben Yeo have teamed up to launch a Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger.
The burger, launched in celebration of National Day, will be available from Aug. 5, 2021, for a limited time.
Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger
The new Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger (from S$6.60) features a crispy chicken patty with ginger sauce, garlic chilli sauce and dark sweet sauce.
Each burger comes with a sachet of Dark Sweet Sauce to drizzle on your burger or patty.
An a la carte Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger is priced at S$6.60 while an Extra Value Meal is priced from S$8.30.
In a virtual media preview on Aug. 2, Yeo said he had decided to turn the Hainanese Chicken Rice into a burger as he had grown up with hawker food.
He added that "one of [his] favourites is Hainanese Chicken Rice", which he can eat every day.

The Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burger will be launched on Aug. 5, 2021 at all McDonald's restaurants, after breakfast hours.
It will also be available via Drive-Thru, and for delivery via McDelivery, GrabFood and Foodpanda.
Return of Crisscut Fries & Banana Pie
McDonald's Singapore will also be bringing back its Crisscut Fries (from S$3.50) and Banana Pie (S$1.40).
It will also be launching their own take of the classic local beverage, Kopi, called Kopi Frappe (from S$4.30).
The Kopi Frappe will be available all day, while stocks last at McDonald’s restaurants, excluding McDonald’s Lido, McDonald’s Parklane Shopping Mall, McCafé and Dessert Kiosks.
