A grey-white horse was seen galloping along a road in the Bukit Timah area on Tuesday, Aug. 10 -- the second time something like this has happened in Singapore, and was caught on camera.

According to Shin Min Daily News, motorists spotted the horse at around 10:45am on Aug. 10 at Vanda Link.

Galloping in the middle of the road

Speaking to Shin Min, a 56-year-old car mechanic, Lin, said he was driving along the road when the horse suddenly "overtook" his car from the left.

He was forced to slow down, as the horse then dropped off to a trot in front of his vehicle.

Lin told Shin Min reporters that he got a shock, as he drove down the same road every day, but it was the first time he had encountered a horse along the way.

He added that he did not dare honk at the animal, for fear that he would spook the horse.

According to Lin, the horse wandered for another 10m or so down the centre of the road, before it deviated into a smaller one, allowing the five cars that were stuck behind it to pass by.

Not clear where horse came from

It was not specified where the horse had come from.

Shin Min reported that two horse-riding schools in the vicinity had confirmed that they had no knowledge of the grey-white horse.

Speaking to Mothership, the Bukit Timah Saddle Club confirmed that the horse did not belong to them.

Mothership has also reached out to Gallop Stables in the vicinity for comment, and will update this story with their response.

In April 2020, a white horse was also seen galloping across Eng Neo Avenue in Bukit Timah.

It was later returned safely to its stables.
