Homeowners with sufficient space have been asked to consider opening it up for a rooster, who is apparently in mortal danger from a lounge of monitor lizards.

The appeal was put up by one Joseph Chai to Facebook group Nature Society (Singapore) on Aug. 10, 2021.
According to Chai, the rooster is currently living in Bay East Garden (Gardens by the Bay), and is friendly enough to approach humans on sight.
Puzzled to see a lone rooster, Chai reportedly spoke to some park wardens, and learnt that the rooster originally had three hens with him.
Unfortunately, his household members have allegedly been devoured by monitor lizards in the area.

Worried that the rooster might soon be the lizards' next meal, Chai is looking for adopters on the bird's behalf.
"Unfortunately, we don't have a big garden to take good care of him," Chai said.
Another alternative is to relocate the rooster, and even introduce him to some female company.
Chai has also circled the animal's roaming grounds on the map, if anyone is keen to locate him.

Perhaps due to the rooster's friendliness, a commenter has speculated that he might be an abandoned pet:
And while others were supportive of Chai's endeavour to find the bird a new home, a few felt that nature should be allowed to run its course:
