The Ministry of Health (MOH) has confirmed 122 new cases of Covid of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Friday (Aug. 27).
This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases in Singapore to 67,050.
Of the 122 cases, 120 are locally transmitted and two are imported.
3 fatalities
MOH reported three deaths due to complications from Covid-19 infection.
All three cases were unvaccinated. Of these, two were non-ambulatory and had limited movement outside of their homes, but yet were infected as unlinked cases.
Case 67918: Singaporean man, 80
Case 67918, an 80-year-old Singaporean man, passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Aug. 26, 2021.
He tested positive for Covid-19 infection on Aug. 7 and was admitted to Ng Teng Fong General Hospital on the same day.
He had no known medical conditions.
Case 68636: Singaporean woman, 70
Case 68636, a 70-year-old Singaporean woman, passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Aug. 27, 2021.
She had been admitted to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH) for an unrelated medical condition on Aug. 11 and tested negative for Covid-19 upon admission.
Another test taken on Aug. 17 came back positive for Covid-19 infection.
She had a history of diabetes mellitus, ischaemic heart disease, end stage renal failure, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.
Case 68664: Singaporean woman, 90
Case 68664, a 90-year-old Singaporean woman, passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection on Aug. 26, 2021.
She had been conveyed to KTPH for an unrelated medical condition on Aug. 18 and tested positive for Covid-19 on Aug. 19.
She had a history of cancer, heart disease, hypertension and hyperlipidaemia.
In total, 55 have passed away from complications due to Covid-19 infection in Singapore.
