Those looking for an affordable place to catch up with (fully-vaccinated) friends over some food can check out this new Yakiniku restaurant.

Located at Bugis Junction, Hey! Yakiniku specialises in Japanese Wagyu, US, and Australian beef cuts at pocket-friendly prices.

To celebrate their opening, they are offering their 100g Beef Short Plate set at just S$1 to the first 150 customers on August 20, 2021.

S$1 beef set promotion

Known as Karubi, the Beef Short Plate refers to the boneless short rib or flanken-cut rib is one of the more popular beef cuts for yakiniku.

The marbling of the meat makes it more tender and juicier than other cuts.

The first 150 customers can enjoy the 100g Karubi set at just S$1.

It comes with rice, soup, and a choice of kimchi, salad or spicy beansprout.

This promotion is strictly valid for dine-in only.

If you miss the S$1 promotion or want to order more, you can purchase more Karubi as a set or ala carte:

Yakiniku

Prices start at S$8.90 for a 100g Pork Belly & Chicken Thigh set and goes up to S$29.90 for a 180g Premium Australian Wagyu set.

Like the Karubi set, the other sets also come with rice, soup, and a choice of kimchi, salad or spicy beansprout.

If you're looking to share more meats with your dining companions, they also sell ala carte portions that range from S$2.90 for 50g of chicken thigh meat to S$27.90 for 180g of Premium Australian Wagyu.

Various serving sizes for both set meals and ala carte dishes are offered.

Sides such as onsen egg and kimchi start at S$1.50 per serving.

Donburis start at S$10.90 for a Teriyaki Chicken Don (Chicken Thigh) while the Takeaway Bentos start at S$9.90 for a Chicken Yakiniku Bento.

Hey! Yakiniku offers an odourless and smokeless dining experience with their griller that uses the latest "state-of-the-art technology", a representative said.

The seating capacity is 60 pax in light of current Covid-19 safe distancing rules.

Diners are required to wait 14 days after their second vaccine dose in order to be considered fully-vaccinated and allowed to dine-in at eateries in groups of up to five people.
