The vending machines used for country-wide mask distribution exercises over the past year or so are being retrofitted to dispense TraceTogether Tokens instead.
The first of these retrofitted machines are located at shopping malls NEX and Sun Plaza from Jul. 26, according to a Facebook post by Smart Nation Singapore.
The machines will be deployed at more locations "in the coming months", said the government agency.
Who can use the vending machines?
The vending machines will only be able to replace tokens that are not working.
Additionally, only those who are replacing tokens more than four months old can get a replacement token at the vending machines.
If you meet the criteria, and are planning to get your old token exchanged, note that you need to bring your personal ID (with barcode) and your old Token along for the replacement.
Smart Nation Ambassadors will also be on hand to provide assistance and gather feedback.
Meanwhile, those who are collecting a new token for the first time, replacing a lost token, or replacing a token that is less than four months old can do so at community centres/community clubs.
