Minister for Education Chan Chun Sing will be delivering a ministerial statement to address concerns raised from the River Valley High incident next week in Parliament.
Ministerial statement to address concerns raised
The Education Minister announced this in a Facebook post on July 23.
Chan mentioned that parents and the community had understandably raised concerns about what was being done to support schools and look out for students in need.
He will address them in a ministerial statement in Parliament next week, Chan said.
Chan also reiterated in his post that affected students and staff members of River Valley High School are not alone in this road to recovery. He said:
"It will take time to heal, and the road to recovery is long. But know that each and every one of us stand with you."

Chan also noted that teachers and staff from the school had displayed courage and care in a selfless manner despite it being a difficult week for them as well.
The minister said that they had taken "prompt and decisive" action to protect students during the incident, and cared for the students after the incident.
Chan added that he is heartened that the Singaporean spirit remains undiminished, as various persons had come forward to express their support for the school.
"Our community has rallied together – from the members of the public who left flowers and notes of condolences and encouragement at the school, to the counselling professionals who stepped forward to offer their services, there have been numerous gestures of care, kindness and compassion."
