If you've always wanted to go Les Amis but could never bear to part with your money, this could be a substitute... of sorts.
Three ready-to-eat meals by chef Justin Quek have launched at Cheers and FairPrice Xpress.
Quek founded the French fine-dining restaurant in 1994, which has since gone on to clinch three Michelin stars.
A meal there will cost you about a couple hundreds, on average.
Prices for the instant version are much cheaper, thankfully:
- Sambal Prawn Capellini (S$5.65)
- Capellini tossed in sambal sauce, prawns
- Chicken A La Crème (S$5.95)
- French-style chicken in white cream sauce, pilaf rice, edamame, mushrooms
- Fish Curry and Coconut Rice ($5.65)
- Nonya rempah, fish, coconut rice
- Mildy spicy
Pop the dishes into the microwave for a few minutes and they'll be ready for consumption.
If you're not too lazy to take them out of the box, they'll look even better.
These meals will only be available in stores till Sep. 30, 2021. Here's the list of stores you can find them at.
Koung’s Wan Tan Mee
The line-up is joined by Koung’s Wan Tan Mee, which is also available in ready-to-eat meal at both chains.
The famous brand is selling its Wan Tan Mee with Chicken Char Siew by Kolo Mee (S$5.20), featuring wantons and chicken char siew on a bed of noodles with chilli and black sauce.
