To celebrate the upcoming National Day (August 9), local ice cream cafe Creamier is launching three limited edition flavours.
Inspired by local breakfast food and beverages, the three flavours are Kopi-Peng, Teh-Peng, and Kaya Toast.
This National Day series, particularly Kopi-Peng and Teh-Peng flavours, is a collaboration with traditional coffee roaster Kim Guan Guan (KGG).
Breakfast theme
Similar to the traditional sock-brewed local coffee, the Kopi-Peng boasts a rich and robust flavour from KGGs traditional locally roasted robusta coffee powder.
Also a collaboration with KGG, the creamy Teh-Peng is made with Kenyan black tea dust and caramelised milk.
Both Kopi-Peng and Teh-Peng contain dairy and caffeine.
Last but not least, the Kaya Toast is a pandan-flavoured ice cream made from fresh pandan leaves and caramelised coconut milk.
The ice cream also contains a "generous dose" of buttered toasts, although it is not clear in what form — as individual bits or blended into the dessert.
It contains diary, eggs, and gluten (wheat).
The three flavours cost S$3.90 per scoop and S$12.90 per pint.
In stores from August 6
You can pre-order the ice-cream via Creamier's online shop on August 1.
The ice cream will subsequently be available at all Creamier outlets and food delivery platforms from August 6.
They will be available for purchase until October 31.
Dining in is not allowed from July 22 to August 18 but you can still make takeaway and delivery purchases.
