163 new locally transmitted Covid-19 cases in S'pore, 125 linked to KTV & Jurong Fishery Port clusters

172 total cases today.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has preliminarily confirmed 172 new cases of Covid-19 infection in Singapore as of 12pm on Monday (July 19).

This brings the total number of Covid-19 cases reported in Singapore to 63,245.

163 of the cases are locally transmitted, of which 106 are linked to the Jurong Fishery Port cluster and 19 belong to the KTV cluster.

Of the 163 cases, 66 are linked to previous cases, and have already been placed on quarantine.

71 are linked to previous cases and were detected through surveillance. 26 are currently unlinked.

Amongst the cases is one senior above 70 years who is unvaccinated, and is at risk of serious illness.

Nine imported cases

In addition, there are nine imported cases, who have already been placed on Stay-Home Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore.

Four were detected upon arrival in Singapore, while five developed the illness during SHN or isolation.
